La Jolla Cove

One of San Diego's favorite beaches, this pristine spot is a great place for kayaking, snorkeling and diving. Lifeguards on duty year round from 9am to dusk.

Directions: I-5 to La Jolla Village Drive. West on La Jolla Village Drive, left on Torrey Pines Road to La Jolla Shores Drive & Prospect Street.

Coronado Central Beach

Along scenic Ocean Boulevard in Coronado is the beach voted #1 in America. It's certainly the cleanest, prettiest one in San Diego, and if you're fortunate you might even see dolphins just off the shore here!

Directions: I-5 to California 75 - Coronado Bay Bridge, stay left on Third Street, left on Orange Avenue, proceed about 2 miles until you reach the Hotel Del Coronado. Park anywhere you can find a spot and enjoy!

Mission Trails Regional Park

With nearly 5800 acres of natural and developed recreational areas and over 40 miles of trails, Mission Trails Regional Park is a great stop if you're looking to get in tune with nature. It's only 8 miles Northeast of downtown San Diego- you won't even have to stop for gas on the way!

Directions: I-8 to Mission Gorge Road/Fairmount Avenue. North on Mission Gorge, proceed about 4 miles. Turn left onto Father Junipero Serra Trail. Visitor center is on the left.

Old Town San Diego

Full of shops, restaurants, and historic sites, Old Town is a hidden destination in plain site. Be sure to check out the museums, parks, and the Saturday Market, San Diego's largest weekly street fair.

Directions: I-5 to Pacific Highway, merge right onto Pacific Highway, right on Taylor Street, take second right onto Calhoun Street, take first left onto Wallace Street.

Museum of Contemporary Art

The Museum of Contemporary Art's two locations feature both emerging & established artists in the world of contemporary art, and admission prices are great, plus your ticket will get you in for 7 days at both locations.
